If you are speaking of the animated show pictured, the Grinch was Boris Karloff.

In the animated show pictured, imdb lists Karloff as the Grinch and the narrator.

I stand corrected--I was thinkiing of him in something else. Karloff sounds like him though-and must have been old as Roman hills when e did that toon.

Browne did play in a TV Christmas movie called John Grins Christmas, I think as one of the ghosts.

I stumbled upon the show Longmire on Netflix. If you haven't seen it, Longmire is a sheriff in Wyoming and does things the old fashion way. Pretty tough character and his best friend is a Cheyenne Indian named Henry Standing Bear played by Lou Diamond Phillips. 5 seasons with the final season being 2017. Great show.
