S&W history letter submit email fails
Didn't know where to put this, so figured here was as good a place as any, been trying to submit a letter request for one of my S&W's and the mail keeps bouncing back, did a search on the forum and didn't see anyone else having this issue, or if something changed. Here is the email address I've sent:
I send this one " [email protected]" and it bounces back with this other email " [email protected]" saying mail can't be delivered, does anyone else have this issue?
Guess I could mail the request in, but of course email gets it there so much faster!!
Is there a new email address somewhere?
Any help would be great!
Thanks!
Mazer

You may find help in the sticky threads here and/or should probably re-post this thread at the following forums: http://smith-wessonforum.com/smith-w...al-foundation/

Thank you, followed a few links from one of the posts in that forum and I found a way to do this....no more email, all by snail mail, which is fine.

No longer $50. Now $75 or $65 for SWHF members.

[email protected] should work for the historical letter. It can be sent via email as no cost occurs unless we find something and then we let you know what it is and you have the choice whether or not to purchase. [email protected] is my personal email.
Requests for letter of authenticity need to go by snail mail along with the $75 fee to Roy's address: Smith & Wesson Historical Foundation
c/o Mr. Roy G. Jinks, Historian
P.O. Box 669
Warren, MA 01083
Letters of authenticity must be obtained before a historical letter can be obtained. Forms may be found at: http://www.swhistoricalfoundation.co...quest_form.pdf
Hope this helps.

Thanks vintagesmith, neither of the email addresses worked, both bounce back saying "undeliverable". I'm trying to find out if my 629-3 is as Lew Horton model or not, there is no sticker on the box, I know it is a 1992...but beyond that?

If this is your only or primary concern, it is my understanding Lew Horton provides confirmation and letters stating such free of charge. You should contact Lew Horton. All they'll need is a serial number.

From S&W's own website - the procedure has changed:
"Smith & Wesson is excited to announce a new partnership with the Smith & Wesson Historical Foundation (S&WHF). The S&WHF will now be providing the Smith & Wesson letter of authenticity. A letter of authenticity can help bring new insight about the age, make and model of your firearm.
To order a letter, please click the link below to visit the Smith & Wesson Historical Foundation for more information.
