Default Bald Eagle Spotting in South Jersey

Just a head's up for those living in south Jersey. This morning (around 7:45AM), I spotted a bald eagle feasting on something dead in an open farm field. This was in Franklin Township in Gloucester County on Delsea Drive. This was the first eagle I have ever seen in south Jersey since I started dating my fiance 4 years ago.

Patriot,

I live in Atlantic County, not too far from Lake Lenape. When I take my son to school in the morning, there is usually 2 or 3 bald eagles by the old Wheaton Mill. When I drive through Franklin Twp. heading to my doctors, it is not uncommon to see eagles feasting in the corn fields after a harvest. In fact, the Veteran's Day immediately after my accident, an eagle kept the buzzards at bay while feasting on some form of road kill in front of my neighbor's home. Eagles aren't as scarce around here like they used to.

I live just southwest of Houston and we usually see a couple a year especially down where US59 crosses the Brazos river. I got a couple pics of one at a park near the river but since I was about 300yds away they are just good enough for identification.

I had one in my back yard this summer. I think they come around to catch the rabbits.......or maybe the neighbors cat, not sure.

I live on an island in Puget Sound.
