Mel Gibson did an fantastic job making this movie. I cant say enough how good this movie is. Only spoiler ill post is that, Desmond T. Doss's Sergeant makes it through the war.

BTW, at the end of the movie-the entire audience stood up and clapped. Ive only seen that done twice before--at Saving Private Ryan, and American Sniper.

haven't seen hacksaw ridge but it sounds good.

Nothing new or controversial here. I choose to not financially support someone who has publicly espoused anti-Semitic views.

Then you shouldnt support alec baldwin-who had his own rant on the Jews as well as with blacks.

Anyway, back to subject--it's great that someone like Mel Gibson is bringing a gents name to public notice-as well as making an on screen monument to such a great hero.

I thought he was Australian, but after a quick look he is an American, he only lived in Australia. His father moved the family there when he was 12 to live with Mel's grandmother for economic reasons and in the hopes it would help Mel's older brother dodge the draft during the Viet Nam War.

I think he still owns a huge ranch over there?

Not sure what one anti-Semite has to do with another, but you're correct - I don't.

Never had much use for those who use the "n" word in casual conversation, either.

I choose to not willingly spend my dollars with these folk; your choices are your own.

What it has to do is thaat alec baldwin never got shot for his rant like Mel Gibson did. DOUBLE-STANDARD.

ME either but what's this got to do with Mel Gibson and Hacksaw Ridge?

Good for you......
