Default Are these Skeeter Skelton "Roper" grips by Herrett's?

OK. Now that I roped you in with my wishful thinking, what can you tell me about these mystery grips I found in a gunshop grip box? I thought they were junk plastic at first but on closer inspection they were wood painted white (???) and really have a nice shape and are well made. I thought they were for a S&W but they are Colt. If you can just get past that white paint for a second, what do you think about them? Skeeter Skelton had Herrett's make him grips in what he called a Roper style. You know the ones I mean. Could these be Herrett's but for a Colt? Anything ring a bell about them? I'll remove the paint and see how the wood grain looks later. They feel really good in the hand.

Those look REAL close. I just removed the paint off one panel and it's pretty plain wood. But they will have potential.
