That reminded me of this, which has been "an item" in the news recently:

Car with giant bull named Howdy Doody riding shotgun pulled over in Nebraska

A man was pulled over in Nebraska on Wednesday after a stunned onlooker spotted him rolling through town with a full-sized Watusi bull riding shotgun inside his Ford Crown Victoria.

The strange sighting is beyond ridiculous — the car's roof and windshield had both been partially removed to accommodate the massive "male" bovine, and a yellow cattle gate was attached to the side of the car to keep the sire inside...

Cops can't "fix" the homeless problem in populated areas, but they have time to pull this guy over because somebody complained?

Oh, brother.

LOL. As W.C. Fields said, "Sometimes a man has to take the bull by the tail and face the situation."

JR had to send pics of his completed art project for homeschool which was due today. It took him two days.

He dubbed it "Captain EggMan" in his scramble jet.

The eggshaust.

He got an "A".

Our beloved Sable. Our constant companion, guardian, and silent friend. We discuss our troubles and neighbors and life's issues. She never offers but forces me to find happiness in my darkest times. We have been owned by four Labs and this one is just a person in a brown coat.

As I walk into the Base Commissary, I see packaged firewood.
Really? Walk over for a closer look.
It’s from Lodi! What? Haven’t been there for a long time, but it’s AG town.
Only trees there are orchards!
But they have a Great Song!

The first on-air painting done and signed by Bob Ross recently sold for $9.8 million.

I'll bet those little trees are happy.

Locals call it the Snowy Range. Gorgeous place. Was your pooch possibly watching a marmot? Lots of those creatures up there.

Also, did you see the pines with only eastward facing branches near the top of the pass? Wind might blow there on occasion.

Thanks for the post and photo. It's been 17 years since I've been across Wyo Hiway 130. I need to correct that.

Yup, Snowy Range. I've been through here several times, as it was a favorite route when crossing the area on my motorcycle. This was the first time my wife had been over 130.

Didn't see any Marmots... I think the dog was watching other hikers on the trail. She also doesn't like looking at the camera, so maybe just being obstinate.

And yes, the wind does blow in WY!

We're off to Cody for a few days next.

The weather's been so nice I wasn't thinking about the time of year.

The marmots are probably already underground. They're usually among the first to hibernate.

I was in Cody two weekends ago. Enjoy your time. Plenty to do and see.

Don't know about the revolver.

His boots appear to be Tony Lama's with a #7 riding heel.

Got the wife out of the house for a short hike. These are the Paint Mines near Calhan, Colorado.

We only did the overlook this time because she wasn't up to going through the middle. We'll do that next time.

Tough to tell from such a small photo. Any chance of a larger one? (Nothing in Google images.) From what I can guess rom the hammer, might be a Colt SA.

Can’t recall if his engine was actually off or if I had enough shutter speed to stop his prop. He was rolling down a Taxiway.
Just checked the data.
Had 1/2000 of a sec Shutter Speed set.
Probably stopped the slow milling Prop.

Nice Boots!
But what Handgun is the Warden carrying?
The grip must be white cause they blend with his shirt.
Blowing the picture up until it gets too fuzzy to tell it looks like a single-action of some sort. First guess, based on the photo date given is that it is a Colt SAA.

I'll bet those little trees are happy.

Bob was interesting to watch doing his thing. Me? I couldn't paint a smudge.

I was in Cody two weekends ago. Enjoy your time. Plenty to do and see.
When I hunted marmots in eastern WA, they seemed to disappear around late July. Never knew if they were in hibernation or just working the night shift.

Mom dearly loved watching him. She said it was the most relaxing half hour on television. An optical tranquilizer dart.

Default climate controlled wood storage

My cabin sits atop a half basement on the back and 10"x10" posts and knee braces on the front. That front place has always been a great place to store firewood.

This year a friend gave milled, coped logs to me for an outdoor project. I stacked the logs in my driveway thinking I was going to finish the project before snow flies. Well, that didn't happen.

I wanted to get the logs out of my driveway so they wouldn't be in the way during snow season so last week I came up with a plan to line the open spaces between the posts with the logs. That should stop the wind-driven snow from sifting through my stacks of firewood!

A pic of me and my for-life buddy, Booger, taking in some fine

Hey, who's that out there?!

Looks like it might be...

Yep, by gum it's a bobcat!

From our morning walk. This guy was catching moles in one of our local parks.

Nice pics! Such beautiful critters. Pity they're not friendly up close.

We went back to the Paint Mines near Calhan, Colorado, today and walked through the middle. (see post #6077)

View in Palmer Park, Colorado Springs. The mountain in the background is Pikes Peak.

I didn't stay very long because there were too many people...of course today is the Sunday of a three day weekend, and it's a beautiful day to be outside. So, next time I'll try a weekday.

What is that fence up the hill from your cabin keeping in or out?
That is one steep hill. I'd hate to have to build or maintain that fence. My legs hurt thinking about it.
