Getting Nervous, Edgy.
Want to roam!
The Boonies are calling my name!
Some of you city boys are probably thinking,
What are these Boonies, anywho?
Here’s the 3 Rivers Petroglyph Site down in SE NM.
It’s in the Tularosa Basin which is bounded by the Sierra Blanca and Sacramento Mtns to the East.

I have been in all 50 states. I have been all over Alaska. I know no other mountain range that is as breath taking beautiful as the Grand Tetons. There are two individual mountains that are spectacular in their own right, Denali and Mt. St. Elias, but the ranges they are in do not compare to the Tetons.

Speaking of strange cloud formations, here are a couple of them that I snapped in my neck of the woods.

Default Hoover Dam Rappel

I took this image from a Go-Pro video I made while rappelling down the face of the Hoover Dam; all 625' of it. Good times.

The other gent is a Charleston, SC, PD Officer.

Thanks RedBert31, I have sunk some change into her, but worth every penny and actually have more parts arriving this week. lol
97 TJ, originally bought for my son when he was in HS and always knew I'd get it back someday. Rare bird because it had never been off the pavement with zero rust.
First thing I did was re-upholster the interior with Alcantara suede.
A couple more for ya. The day I found it in a parking lot for sale and then today plus a few of the interior.

Daibutsu! The big Buddha in Kamakura, Japan. It used to be inside a temple, but sometime in the 14th century a typhoon took the temple.

I was in Vegas in 2000 and it did not exist. I was quite surprised to see it this year. Maybe one of the Vegas boys has more info.

Ahh, started building it in 2005 and opened in 2010

Before that impressive bridge went up, traffic on the road between Vegas and Arizona had to slow down to cross over the Colorado River on top of the dam itself. It's much quicker now, and the potential for damage to the dam, either intentional or through accidents, has been substantially reduced.

My closest friends came down for the weekend. Soo thrilled Utah is opening back up.
The gentleman in the red moved in next door to me back in December 1963.

Fish Creek, the trail crosses it three times in about 1/2 mile.

It was a beautiful sunny day and by late afternoon the current had increased quite a bit.

This is in Cannon Beach, a couple miles from here. It looks like they're practicing to be mountain goats!

You know, if groceries get scarce...

The Navy's Blue Angels made a circuitous trip around Houston today passing by all the major hospital districts. The middle stretch went right down the Southwest Freeway near where we are. I took Mom and my camera to a large retail complex which was suggested as a good place to see the flyby. From the moment I first saw them to when they passed was only about 20 seconds and they were flying pretty low and slow. Put the camera in machinegun mode and managed one really good shot out of the 50 or so taken. A little cropping and work in Photoshop yielded this.
