I don't have any puppies right now, but here are a few photos of Annie and Beau when they were puppies, and as they are today.

In the fourth photo, Beau keeps watch over Annie as she sleeps. He is extremely protective of her.

I included myself in the fifth photo just for laughs...a casual self-portrait of the make-believe Watchdog sitting with the real Watchdogs.

Annie is now seven years of age, and Beau is six-and-a-half, but no matter how old they get, they will always be my puppies.

I love your big dogs. I would like to have another, but it's not practical at this time. I used to make fun of old people with little dogs, now I am one.

You have to love a puppy.

We lost our standard poodle last year.

Here are my two children. After 25 years of owning spoiled rotten Pit Bulls I decided to down size too.
This is Halle Peeno, my mix breed Taco Dog. Brand new and 8 years old.

And Hedley Lamar, my French Bulldog and part time clown.
Brand new.

And now at 2 years old helping me drive the Vette.

Jim:

Every time that I see pictures of your wonderful friends, Beau and Annie, I can't help but be impressed by their apparent dignity and intelligence!! They are two exceptional companions and you are a lucky fellow to have been adopted by them!!

I can't find a picture of our Erma as a puppy right now, but I'll keep looking for one. She is about 10 or 11 right now, we aren't quite sure, as she is a rescue. Here she is as she looks today though:

Thinking about Rusty's "clowder", last year a less than a month old kitten showed up at my cabin, and I took it in. I was going to keep it there at the cabin, but decided to take it home. Erma has never had pups, and she adopted the little girl!!! We bottle fed Bella, but she would nurse on Erma. Here is Bella today, about 7 or 8 months old. Erma will tell you that this is one of her "pups"!!!:

So, like Rusty, we have a clowder, 6 cats and one dog.

Best Regards, Les

Charlie the poodle is the closest thing we have to a puppy right now. That pic was at Christmas. We have had him since August. He will be a year old in May. He's a bit bigger now than in the pic, getting pretty close to 60 pounds and much curlier.

Our toy Aussie Gracie is ten, but she's only 12 pounds, so people still take her for a puppy. Her actual puppy photos are TOO CUTE, and would just get me in trouble with the mods.

Gracie's pup Petunia, who lost an eye to a neighborhood pit bull. She's no bigger than Gracie, so gets taken for a pup, too.
I used to have an aversion to small dogs. Anything under 35 pounds was a rodent. Gracie and Petunia have cured me of that.

I had previously posted pictures of our rescue dog, that we named Shadow. He proved his virility with these new arrivals on Valentines day. Momma dog has the pink dog collar on and the brown dog is her brother.

Here is my earlier post of Shadow coming into our lives.

http://smith-wessonforum.com/lounge/481533-new-dog-family.html

Shadow no longer lives with us. My mom died this past September and my dad was devastated. Dad came over and house sat our dogs for a week over thanksgiving. Little Shadow followed him around everywhere and when my wife got home that week she saw the two really bonding.

I called my dad and asked if he would like to care Shadow home and he jumped at the chance. My dad is more active, I called and he was out of breath, I asked what was going on and he said "Shadow is taking me for a walk"!!

This is Bandit our 10 year old rescue dog. Part Papillon and mostly Jack Russell terrier; Smart little cuss! My wife can teach him to do stuff in 3 or 4 tries. He won’t listen to me unless the command contains the word Mama, ride, or walk. He gets along with most other critters unless they run – then they are a target! He hates baths, thunder, fireworks and gunfire.
