"The most interesting man in the world" (the REAL one) killed by John Wayne
Yes, the original "most interesting man..." had about three seconds of screen time in "The Shootist". Just enough time to get shot in the head by John Wayne. In this interview he talks about that, Gunsmoke, and other most interesting stuff. There was only one James Bond. Sean Connery. And there's only one most interesting dude. This guy.

Great story, Wyatt...since I watch very little commercial TV I am just barely familiar with this ad campaign, but it has been a good one in the midst of so many bad ones. How could you not like a guy like this?
Thanks for sharing...
Best Regards, Les

They got a new guy, Les, but it ain't the same, of course. No offense to him, but it's like when we put on Bewitched one night in the late 60s and there was a brand new Darrin, and nobody on the show seemed to notice.

Oh, well, I'm glad I haven't seen the new one!! I really liked that guy...now I see what you mean about Sean Connery and the real James Bond.
Best Regards, Les

Hey, you got a point there. And both those guys were dealt with fatally by Clint Eastwood in "Hang 'Em High". I think he also went by the name "Jonathan Lippe".

I have seen the new commercials and was a little disappointed.
Did something happen to Mr. Goldsmith? Is he still with us? Did he just retire?

I tried Dos Equis... IMO they should've changed the beer instead of the spokesperson.Maybe I just wasn't properly attired when chugging it.

He was also a red shirt in Star Trek TOS episode "The Corbomite Maneuver." But since he didn't go down to the planet, it's assumed he survived.

Also, as far as look alikes, in the second picture of Ringos', the tall one in the peaked cap next to the "Father" looks a lot like Nicholas Cage.

I couldnt find the exact images I wanted-but he's Ralph Meeker-who even sounds like Vic Morrow-to me.

He's been in a lot of movies that I would never have thought of... Check out this list: Jonathan Goldsmith - IMDb
Also known as Jonathan Lippe.
Best Regards, Les

Thanks Les., maybe it was Hang Em' High according to that list.
Hey, if Eastwood kills you in Hang Em' High instead of The Good, the Bad And the Ugly, what's the difference?
You're still just as dead.

"He once parallel parked a train."
"He has inside jokes with total strangers."
"His two cents is worth $38" (or some such figure).
And my favorite. "He bowls overhand."
The writing of his credentials was the best part.

Thanks. I thought id seen him killed in some western tv series--but none of the ones I thought of--shows in his credits.
Currently I'm going through the first half of: The Untouchables-and ive seen a few "faces" who I know, but its frustrating that they are not credited when ive looked on IMDB.

I know that Marlon Brando killed him in One Eyed Jacks in a saloon where he was pushing a girl around.
