Default 'Likes'..we don't need to explain...

A 'like' can mean that you like a post, approve of what's being said and or you appreciate the info whether it's bad news or not. Or just acknowledging that you are informed about whatever is going on.

If someone talks about, say, a disaster, and I like the post, I'm not saying that I'm glad there was a disaster.

If someone posts about somebody that did something evil or idiotic, it means I like the post, not liking evil and idiocy.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but we are a pretty civil bunch and know that 'liking' a post doesn't mean you totally approve of what's in it.
