believe i need to get light up ! too dark in there

questions ... are there any good lights that use velcro for mounting ? that would be handy for me since my safe is fully carpeted . trying to stay away from drilling holes or using screws if possible. my safe interior door has the peg board type mounting .
magnets ? maybe can use but it really limits on where i can attach the lights in my safe .
suggestions welcome . tell me what you have by name so i can find it on the net . thanks !

A different solution to your problem!

I have the large size Fort Knox, what I did was put a indoor quality flood light on the wall facing the safe. A distance of about 5'. I mounted it high (7') and have it shining down into the safe.

Cost 0 as I had the bulb and fixture. Did that in 04 when we moved up here and to me it works well. Still using the original bulb!

Not a pre-made light, but at Lowe's and Home Depot, in the lighting section they have AA & AAA lights that are the size of hockey pucks (usually in 3 packs). They come with two sided tape, but putting stick on Velcro (hook side) on the back is easy. The Velcro should stick to the carpet anywhere in the safe.

You tap the face and they switch on and automatically go off in a few minutes (so you won't waste the batteries)

The underside of the safe top is not carpeted in my safe. Stick all your pile side up there and you have a designated place to keep them!

Tried the Puc lights from Home Depot. They're ok but you go through batteries like crazy. The auto on-off feature causes them to drain quickly. Same with under shelf lights from Costco with a wireless remote. Batteries don't last due to the constant on circuitry.

LED tape lights H.Depot. You can cut and splice. They're thin and you can attach them anywhere. And inexpensive. You'll have to make a power port to the inside of the safe...easy.
IMHO...thee best choice!

There's a problem using "auto sensing circuitry" with small battery powered lights. The light/device powers the "auto circuit" constantly, providing for instant operation when needed. Auto-on and wireless features are great but drain the battery life to nothing over a few weeks.

I bought these for my safe, turns on as soon as the door opens. I also have one on the wall that lights up my lock when I get close to the safe. Battery operated, works great.

My lights have been working daily for the past 6 months with no change of batteries.

I went to Home Depot and purchased 9" LED under cabinet lights. They are linkable and I ran 6 of them. Used Velcro to install and you can hook them up to a motion on light. CE 1000 235 640 white. You can REALLY see what's in the safe. The cost is around $ 5.00 a piece. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

There's a seller on EBay that sells pre made LED safe kits. They operate off of AA batteries. I've had mine about a year and use the lights a lot but I'm still on the same set of batteries. He offers stick on or Velcro, they are on a continuous strip that mounts around the inside of the door frame. I requested an toggle on/off switch and mounted it underneath one of the shelves. But he also offers a motion switch so when the doors opened it comes on. I love it! Sellers name is c_mr.little or search for "gun safe led kit"

Magnetic AA or AAA LED lights run the gamut for applications.
One that looks like an incandescent with a magnetic base and a Hi / Lo switch illuminated my bathroom enough for a cold shower and shave during Irma. Wife found it at Big Lots. Wish I had a case.
