Coffee Milk?
Anyone drink coffee milk?
It is a Rhode Island specialty beverage composed of coffee flavored syrup and milk. I got some of this Autocrat syrup from Amazon and made it and it's pretty good.
Thoughts?

I've never seen it....
But I've always liked a little coffee in my milk.
We used to drink Kahlua and milk, but not anymore. I could drink the stuff straight. The milk or the kahlua.

Coffee ice cream is my favorite flavor! I'm not especially wild about chocolate milk, so I would give it a try!

Sounds interesting; I’ve been known to flavor a glass of milk with a shot of coffee.
However, I’m slightly disturbed by the brand name. Is this appropriate to drink for supporters of a constitutional republic?

I have seen that on one of the food shows talking about that regional favorite. Sounds good.
Kahlua and coffee, a weekend favorite. Kahlua and vanilla Blue Bell ice cream oh man don't get in my way. The best!!

Here in NM, we don’t seem to have a State drink.
Lots of you folks have Milk as their state drink.
So I’m nominating the Margarita as the Official NM State Drink!

I notice Nebraska has Milk for a State drink, and Kool-Aid for a State SOFT drink...
Did they think milk was alcoholic?

I've never seen that drink here in Florida. But recently I've come to love cold coffee, especially Stok brand, sold in our Publix supermarkets here. Far better than Starbucks IMO (that's not saying much, again IMO) and , so far, the best I've found. They have plain black, black with a little sweetening and my favorite, black with a little CHOCOLATE!
But I'll try yours, if i can locate it here.

I noticed the Kool-aid.
Milk most likely comes up because a lot of these states produce a lot of milk.
But Kool-aid?
Maybe somebody from Neb can enlighten us.

I hate the smell of coffee, but I'll try some in milk. I do like coffee ice cream. Think I'll go to the store to buy some.
.
.
.
.
I got back from the store with coffee ice cream, among other things. Guess what I'll be having after supper tonight. If you guessed coffee ice cream, you'd be wrong. How about coffee ice cream WITH chocolate syrup. I may be getting old, but sometimes I'm still a little boy.

Since I don't like plain milk I've been finding"disguises" for it since childhood. The first was chocolate, but they wouldn't give me enough chocolate because it was fattening. So my Dad gave me half milk and half coffee when I stayed with him on weekends. I loved it! Other things that will work-> Maple syrup, yumberry( that's a Bronx thing) egg nog, and now as an older lady, I prefer Kahlua, or Brandy! 🤣

Put in less Seltzer and more chocolate syrup ( use a good thick brand of chocolate) 2oz chocolate +3-4oz milk (4%) and stir well.. Add just enough Seltzer to be slightly carbonated.. Maybe 2 oz or less.. Let me know!

Thank you I'm going to have to try it again. I'll probably order the Fox's U-Bet syrup for it as I here that's the only authentic way.

While we're on the topic of unusually flavored milk, this is gonna sound weird, but I highly recommend it: half Coca-Cola and half ice cold, 2% milk. Quite refreshing. Give it a try! -S2

Many, many, many years ago, here in northern KY, some of the stores carried a coffee milk product that, I believe, Nescafe made. I went through gallons of that stuff until for some reason it stopped being sold here. If they ever started selling this Autocrat product anywhere near here, I would absolutely give it a whirl. The Stok stuff is really good as well, just a touch pricey.

I love them, but yes it is essentially "bubbly watered down chocolate milk". Here is a video showing the correct-for-NYC ingredients, Milk, Fox's, and Seltzer in the blue bottles.

One time I saw a truck driver a mixture of drinking Coffee and Coca Cola.
He said it helped him stay awake.
Just thinking about it helped me to stay awake!

Used to drink hot milk and nescafé in mexico. Was real popular for a few years down there (early 70’s). Tried it again recently, wasn’t as I remembered....
Rum and milk for breakfast in Australia, they call it Moreton Bay punch.
Gave that one up, too.......

you asked...
Kool-Aid was invented in Hastings Nebraska... they have an annual festival every summer... Kool-Aid Days... you can buy an official mug and get refills all over town at Kool-Aid stands... and the Kool-Aid guy is painted all over the place on the sidewalks too... can put a smile on your face...
in case you visit... the Hastings museum has an amazing collection of firearms as well...

Kool-Aid was invented in Hastings, Nebraska, in 1927. Now does it make more sense?
Yes, I am originally from Nebraska.
Didn't mean to step on Robvious, got to The Pilgrim's post and responded from there!

If you are from Ro Dylin you have had coffee milk. There were two companies but Autocrat bought Eclipse. It is really good to wash down a couple of gaggers, aka NY System wieners (nothing to do with Anthony). Weiners are like hot dogs but cut from a continually extruded casing, placed in a steamed bun, a slap of mustard, a hamburger like sauce, chopped onions and salted with celery salt. A good grill man could make 8 to 10 on his left arm at one time. You could see the scars from the hot sauce. The joke when ordering was "no hair".

Olneyville NY Systen is the place to go and asking for ketchup is a hanging offense and if you want fries ask for beef stew.

As a kid in Connecticut, ice coffee was a summer treat. Nowadays you can get it anywhere, although the stuff that McDonalds puts out is closer to coffee milk. Still drink my hot coffee black, got that way in the Navy as we always ran out of milk.

In Greece they sell Milk-Cafe in stores. Very popular drink sold in half liter cartons.
I drank a ton of it.
Ingredients were whole milk, coffee and sugar.

Funny it seems strange to you. I drink iced coffee. It's a common refreshment where I grew up in NYC, like iced tea is in the Southeast.

You can have your ice tea, I"ll take ice coffee any day. When my son moved to Va back in 91 he would go to a coffee shop and ask for ice coffee, they didnt know what he was talking about.
