Anyone else upping their NRA membership to Patron?
I just got an offer from NRA to upgrade my membership from Life-Endowment to Life-Patron for only $300. I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to do it and with this offer at $25 a month until it’s paid makes it perfect. I’m going to send my first check in tomorrow.

I did last year. Will do it again this year. Those have and will be 5 year extensions. De Facto Life membership because I`ll be lucky to last much longer.

After years as a Patron member, I recently upgraded to Benefactor - didn’t think I would...

Am thinking about doing it. If Medicare covers a cancer test I have coming up, it might work (very questionable). If not, I have to scrounge about $4,000, and that $300 will vanish.

Anyone else upping their NRA membership to Patron?
I followed CH4's example and upgraded my membership to the "Patriot-Life-Benefactor" level at the end of December.
I had already received an e-mail with an offer to do so, if I made my decision by 12/31/18. Looking at the alternatives which are available to all of us, the NRA is the best way to go, by far.
Everyone's financial situation is different. It can be a tough decision to make as there are usually many more financial needs that are facing us, or our families, than there is money to meet the challenges. However, doing nothing is the worst choice.

I am sure GOA is a fine organization. So is the SAF. So is JFPOF.
I KNOW the NRA is a fine organization, and have been a member for over 40 years. Started as an annual member and have "worked" my way up to Benefactor. I worked many years at NRA Youth Shooting Camps as a certified instructor. I have weathered the ups and downs of this organization, the same as any other organization. At the end of the day, the NRA is still the big dog in the room. It is the NRA who the opposition continuously vilifies. Why do they single out the NRA? Because it is the NRA who gets the job done. It is the NRA they fear. They unwittingly provide free "advertising" for the NRA.
By all means, support any and all gun rights organizations. They ALL provide meaningful efforts to our 2nd Amendment rights.
To the OP, I apologize for "hijacking" your thread. And I certainly do not want to be the reason for this thread going off on a wild tangent. I hope you are able to upgrade your NRA membership and congratulate you for doing so.
