Compasses now useless

Oh swell. Never trusted GPS and have always had at least one compass in my saddle bags or pocket when I head into the back country. I guess I'm sunk now.

April fools story, but geomagnetic reversal is real. It's happened throughout earths history and will happen again.

Pole Reversal Happens All The (Geologic) Time | NASA

According to the experts, magnetic north is moving about 20 miles/year towards Russia. They say the last time the poles actually "flipped" was about 780,000 years ago. They also say we're long overdue for another.

NASA speculates that the reversal occurs over hundreds, maybe thousands of years and isn't instantaneous. We don't really know for certain how it happens, cause the critters that lived through the last one didn't leave us a very good record. This is all we got...

This is not a joke. Some time back handejector explained that we have mined all of the Earth's etherium for use in satellites and its loss is accelerating the north-south pole flip. Moreover, that's the whole point of the Green New Deal, to replenish the planet's etherium. Ask Lee Jarrett. He knows things.
