The Three Stooges

It's a shame that due to political correctness, many of the funniest Stooges adventures are not shown anymore. Supposedly, they portray minorities in an insensitive, stereotyped way.

The thing is, they portray EVERYBODY that way! For cryin' out loud, are the Stooges supposed exemplify typical Jewish men of the '30s?

It's a joke people, it's slap-stick, it's meant to be outlandish!

Start spreading the news...
It's going to flop, as well it should (I hope).

I can't remember if it was one of the Stooges or one of the Marx Brothers that bought an apple farm on US route 76 on the South Carolina side between Clayton, Georgia and Westminster, South Carolina. I remember going over there with the family many years ago and picking apples.

Sacrilidge!

Sort of like Steve Martin trying to be Inspector Clouseau on the Pink Panther remake!

Some originals just can't be repeated!

Maybe no original ideas let in Hollywood?

I have a large Three Stooges beer mug. I drank a beer from it last night. It tasted funny.

Bad casting.

They should have made their casting call further east, say just north of Arlington. They would be more funny than pathetic in those roles...

...modern Hollywood is completely intellectually vacant...they remake classics over and over again...fail miserably...and try again...not an original thought among them...except making whatever money they can by stealing old ideas...

Right you are. That is a characteristic of a closed society. Creativity can only flourish in an environment of free and open expression of ideas. Political correctness insists on closed minds and limited thinking which results in the death of creativity. The Liberals have become the very thing they profess to abhor, bigots.

They could be giving out $100 bills to everyone who went to see it and I still wouldn't go. Simply because it has Sean Penn in it. Gotta draw the line somewhere.

Haven't been any there for years, they just file off the serial numbers, change the names, slap on a coat of paint and send it on out. I don't know why the writer's strike was a big deal, it's not like they actually do anything.

Many years ago, I was working in Peru. The place where I was staying had 2 channels on the TV - one always had soccer and the other showed old classics, dubbed in Spanish. At least once a day they'd run The Three Stooges. Everything in the dialog was dubbed EXCEPT for the "nyuck, nyuck, nyuck". I would laugh until I was ready to throw up. Some things just need to be left alone.
