Todd Jarrett posted the sad news on his site today. Chip was an innovator and a generous supporter of the second amendment and of competitors in several shooting sports. His magazines were among the best. I've used them for years in my 1911s and never an issue. RIP, Chip. Prayers for the family.

Sorry to see this news but his spirit will live on through his products and reputation!
 
McCormick magazines

I suspect that Chip knew this was coming. He sold his business to Bill Wilson a year or two ago. I have been shooting 1911-style guns in 45 ACP for 30+ years and McCormick mags I bought back then are still giving good service because they have steel followers. Wilson mags are good too BUT I have learned the plastic followers will eventually disintegrate. I hope Bill Wilson will continue to use steel followers in McCormicks.
