My buddy and I were headed out to the back side of Mt Lemon for some shooting yesterday. We were short on targets so started prowling around the garage looking for something to shoot. I have several hundred old golf balls that I pick up on the course while working. We thought, Why not?

We teed them up on extra tall tees and started to plink. Best results with came with the 7 inch 22A, (the red dot scope helped a lot). Had some fun with the MP9C as well. If you are a little short and low the dirt spray will dislodge them but catch one dead on and they really take off. Now if I could just get rid of that damned slice! (o;

Good idea,,,
As long as they are 50 yards away,,, At 25 yards I have had .22s bounce back.
I've been using shot shells at 75 to 100 yards for practice, There are lots of them at the trap range where I go!

We were shooting down a slope and a bounce back didn't seem likely. I seriously doubt those golf balls would have been in any danger at 50 yards. Pumpkins also make a great target for the 22. After Halloween the stores are giving them away. Every time you pop one it erupts with a nice orange geyser. Being a much larger target they are easier to hit even at a decent distance. (o;
