Thanks for the tip. The Lincoln Lawyer, Mickey Haller, as a book (series?), is written by Michael Connelly, the same guy who writes the Harry Bosch books. They are half brothers.
The Lincoln Lawyer movie is good. I need to check out the TV series. I see Connelly is listed among the executive producers, which is a good sign, I think.
This is the Lincoln Lawyer series on Netflix and it is great. It is not the Matthew McConaughey movie from years ago. Ten episodes and it is hard not to binge them. Fire up Netflix and enjoy some entertainment. David Kelley is one of the producers and he had tons of top hits in the 1990's. He still has the touch.
Or go to the library and check out all of Michael Connelly's books. Great reads
Watched Episode 1 last night. Not bad. Not sure of the lead actors speech inflection, distracting. As to the Bosch vibe, when Mickey is having dinner with his daughter I would swear he is on Harry's deck overlooking the city. Same house maybe?
I have watched the first 2 episodes and I am enjoying it. I have liked lawyer shows since Perry Mason. This is more complicated and reminds me a bit of the movie.
I had always hoped Amazon would pick up this series so there could be some cross-over with the Bosch series, as happened in the books from time to time.
We're in the middle of another series, but when done, we'll probably start watching this.
If it's like Bosch, I'm in. Also on Netflix, "Operation Mincemeat". Not a lot of action but the story of one of the greatest deception operations of WW2. Hitler literally juked out of his knickerbockers.
