Lincoln Lawyer - Netflix

Watched Episode 1 last night. Not bad. Not sure of the lead actors speech inflection, distracting. As to the Bosch vibe, when Mickey is having dinner with his daughter I would swear he is on Harry's deck overlooking the city. Same house maybe?

Found the first episode ok also. The leads accent is a bit distracting for me but maybe after a couple episodes I would think of it anymore.

I've been wondering about that accent. It sounds kinda Hispanic (?), maybe. Maybe it is just the actor's eccentricity? Like Cary Grant's pseudo Britishy accent?

Just looked up the actor: Manuel Garcia-Rulfo. He's Mexican. That explains it. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo - Wikipedia

I like him in the role.

At first the accent seemed to me to be Cuban. I looked him up, and he is from Mexico. I wouldn’t have thought so.

We liked the series, but it could have easily been shortened by half or more.

I'm on E5, and actually have paused Bosch redeux to watch this. I don't consider this a spoiler, but many of you have already mentioned it.
The character has a Mexican mother, and an anglo-American dad, hence the Euro surname.

Didn't plan to watch the series since I was a real fan of the movie. However, the positive comments on here piqued my interest, and I finished the series yesterday. Very good, and I recommend it highly.

Wasn't on my radar to watch but after reading this thread I gave it a try. First two episodes may have us hooked for the long haul.

Come on guys, what’s it about? The wife has been bugging me to watch it but until I know what the theme is I don’t want to get trapped-sitting on the couch when I could be in the gun room.

My only question is why they called the series "The Lincoln Lawyer" when it is not based on that particular book. I don't remember the name of the Mickey Haller book it is based on.

Watch the trailer or watch the first 10 minutes.

Don't wanna spoil it but it does lean heavily on a similar theme/plot lines as the movie. So much so that the suspense the tv writers try to cultivate is pretty transparent.
