Another great one gone, Ronnie Hawkins has passed at 87. Looks like the next couple nights music while I work is now planned.

Ronnie Hawkins and the Hawks played in the small clubs in NW Arkansas.
May he R.I.P.

I think his club in Fayetteville, Ar was called the Rockwood. He
had some big names play there in the day, Jerry Lee Lewis for
one, that was in his wilder days. The next time I saw Jerry Lee
in Hot Springs, Ar in the 80's, he had mellowed somewhat.
I am not sure why the Hawk moved to Canada. But he had it
going on in his day.
