The Gray Man on Netflix
Pretty good movie for an action flick. Kinda John Wick meets Jason Bourne and many people in Europe are killed. Ryan Gosling as the protagonist is funny in a pretty dry sort of way. Chris Evans seems to relish a turn as the villain for once. Captain America, this guy ain't. I enjoyed it.

I read there is a scene on a park bench, where the hero is killing off all sorts of attackers, which cost ~ $40M to film. The production had a monumental budget, and the hope by the producers and Netflix is that it leads to a franchise.

The author of the Gray Man books is also the author of a number of "Tom Clancy" books. The latest Gray man book flips between his early days and then fast forwards to current operations. Personally I do not think that this should be the first to read, go back to his earliest days and then read in sequence. Dave_n

Just stared reading Greaney’s new book - Armored. Bit over the top, but a good read.

I'll Pass
I started to watch it last night. Familiar plot. Endured it until Agent 4 and Agent 6 started fighting and thought, "Here we go again." Clicked off and enjoyed a TCM movie.

Is it woke? I generally stay away from all movies made in about the last 20 years because it's all infected with the same cancer.

Didn't do it for me. Could have cut about 30 minutes from the movie-very predictible plot and the movie pretty much slogged to the expected conclusion. Shallow stereotylical villains-pretty much a paper cutter action movie. I kept thinking"just pull out your gun and shot the ******** and be done with it already!!"

Not a very good movie. Predictable and to over the top in the action parts. I like the John Wick series but this didn't do it for me.
Found some of the lines funny.

Waiting for the Broadway musical based on the book/movie.
Will be titled:
Where Have All The Primers Gone?
Musical score by John Williams in the key of:
G Wiz.

My wife asked to tell her if she would like it, since she had things to do
when we turned it on.
After watching it, I told her that I gave it one thumbs up and I did not think
it would be her cup of tea.

I liked it. Chris Evans was a hoot, Ana de Armas was nice to look at, Ryan Gosling did his cool Ryan Gosling thing, and there was just the right amount of Billy Bob.

That was one of the dumbest action movies I've seen in a while.
Nothing clever about it, just moving from action set-piece to the next with the thinnest of plots.

if he was a real gray man, there wouldn't be any show, because they would never be able to find or identify him. instead we got jason bourne with even more autism causing mayhem and explosions in the streets. should call this explosion man instead.

If you rate Gray Man on its own merits it's only just an entertaining movie (mostly anyway). However, if you compare it to all the absolute junk on tv these days then it was an excellent movie. Maybe I've just aged out of the demographic that new shows and movies are aimed at. I don't know. Most days I don't even bother with it anymore. The movie actually gets better after the first 30 minutes.
