I enjoy making Bloody Mary's for friends & family. At one time I made them from scratch but when you have multiple people at the same time, it becomes a pain in he butt! I used New England's Best Cape Cod mix for many years and see they are no longer around. IMHO theirs was the best out of the bottle mix I've ever had! Recently, I tried Bloody Revolution Original from TX. and it is pretty good. Expensive, but very good. I am relegated to ordering it online as it is not available locally.

I am searching for the best out of a bottle mix I can get - and would appreciate any recommendations. At this time we entertain a bunch and I'm really not looking to start going back to making it from scratch, but if you know any excellent ones, please let me know. Thanks!

Some people like a can of "Clamato" in their mix, as something different.

Some like horseradish, "Wishire", hot sauce........

I still use several store items along with my home brew items.

I just don't use the good "Booze" in these drinks, that is kept for my "Teeni's". :D

Zing Zang is pretty good, but a bit salty. Our local Walmart has 1.75L bottles for about $8.50.

You can make your own cheaper. I mix a 1L plastic bottle of low sodium vegetable and a bottle of low sodium tomato juice, add lime juice, Worcester sauce, celery seeds, pepper, Tabasco and horse radish, mix it well and pour it back into the bottles. It keeps well in the fridge.

Back in my West Texas oilfield days, the local favorite was a Bloody Mary composed of gin or Vodka and Snap-E-Tom. The latter was sort of like a tangy V-8. No idea if Snap-E-Tom is still available, I haven’t had a Bloody Mary in a very long time. One could probably duplicate Snap-E-Tom by adding Tabasco sauce, or similar hot sauce, to V-8.

My friends and I meet every third Friday at the American Legion for their fish fry and have Bloody Mary's, and a beer on the side.
We add the Clamato to ours, which are made with V-8s Spicey or now they actually have a V-8s Bloody Mary mix.
I showed my wife the pictures you fellows posted above and told her "See? It's good for me, it's like a liquid salad."
I don't think she's buying it.

Haven't had one in ages. Sigh. Used to imbibe them with regularity in airport lounges. (Am very fond of alcohol, but watch myself carefully these days. Actually, would be more accurate to say that my wife watches myself carefully these days...:()

We love "bloodies" and serve many over the holidays. "MR.&MRS T" spicy mix, good Belvedere (polish) vodka, large garlic stuff olives, dill pickle spear, a pinch of horse radish, and for the brave a couple generous dashes of Franks Hot Sauce.

Some great tips above. Especially enjoyed the whole fried chicken as swizzle stick.
My recipe is simple and tasty. 16 ounce glass, four ice cubes, hearty glug of decent vodka, approximately 1 teaspoon fresh ground horseradish, three shakes Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, and Cholula original hot sauce to taste (I use about 10 shakes). Fill nearly to brim with quality tomato juice, stir well and add celery stalk with leaves.
On rare occasion, repeat as necessary.

I was in the local Total Wine and Spirits superstore this afternoon. They carry at least ten different Bloody Mary mixers, although I didn’t check the ingredients on the labels.

Spicy V-8! None of that low sodium ****. Putting that in a bloody marry is like eating a steak with a sock on your tongue…

Jigger of vodka, something good please, 1/2 jigger of brandy. 1/2 jigger of tequila. Celery salt, Worcestershire sauce.

Have at it. Simple, effective and yummy.

Regards from the Bluegrass,
Rick Gibbs

Mr.&Mrs.T's bold and spicy with a spoonful of Dimetri's bloody Mary seasoning, a squeeze of lime and throw in the wedge afterwards, jalepeno stuffed olive, a dash of tabasco, 2 shakes of Old bay seasoning, and vodka.

I've never had one. It reminds me of something my mother would try to make me eat.

Tabasco Bloody Mary mix. I like it with a dash of Lea & Perrins, celery salt and a little horseradish. I also tune it up with some additional Tabasco. I do NOT like all that salad people insist on putting in them-maybe some olives with anchovies but that's it. When I drink I wanna drink, not eat.

Except the label says "Contains Fish."
