Balance of Nature fruits & veggies
Anybody have any experience with this product? The TV is saturated with their commercials, and I can't stop my 94 YO mother from watching and thinking this stuff is the fountain of youth.
Looks like snake oil to me

My wife signed up for a subscription and have up after a month because she didn't feel any benefits. Since there was a month and half worth left in the cupboard, I figured I would give them a try. No noticeable benefits for me either.

Very expensive. And IIRC, you have to take 3 of EACH, per day!

Just amazing to me what gets advertised on TV. Maybe I am
just a sceptic, or maybe because I studied and actually did marketing.
First sign to me of a bad deal is something being heavily advertised on TV.

No kidding. Stupid commercial!
Nothing worse than getting to the end of the day, only to realize you haven’t had your fruits and vegetables. Nothing like popping $10 worth of green and red capsules to mitigate nutritional guilt.
I like making fruit smoothies with a little protein powder.

Fox isn’t alone in advertising nonsense supplements.
CNN advises a supplement that’s supposed to raise your testosterone. They eve have Doug Flutey in the commercial
There seem to be plenty of suckers born every moment, so these scams pay.

The problem with things like this is a lot are marketed as supplements. For a lot of people it is rather a replacement for not eating the foods that would normally give us our daily requirements.
The idea that if some is good then more is better only works with alcohol.

From what I've read about this stuff it is finely chopped up freeze dried fruits and vegetables. Sounds like a good idea except that it is not enough to replace all the fruits and vegetables you are supposed to eat.
Meals ready to eat are full meals that are cooked and then freeze dried. They cook the meal and than freeze it. It is than put into a vacuum chamber and the water is removed. To reconstitute the meal add water and you are back to the original meal.
Now take an apple slice and do the do the same thing. When it's done add water and you have the original apple slice. Simple. Now take the apple and pulverize it in a blender. Take a very, very, very small portion out and add water. You would have a very small piece of the apple. Now do that to a lot of stuff and grind it all up. Than take enough of all of them to fit into the capsule and you have not so much of all the fruits and vegetables. Seems like a scam to me. There are other vitamins that are better and a whole lot less expensive. That stuff cost a lot. Oh well there are ones born everyday.

I’ve had same thoughts about Prevagen. I think that’s how it’s spelled. Support to eliminating brain fog and help you to think clearly. I’ve always used a cup of black coffee for that. Maybe there’s something to eliminate it to start with……. Any experience???????

One of the two most maddening commercials on TV-the other being that guy who sells the pillows and sheets on FOX news channel. Although I must say the pillows are nice-but nothing special just chopped up foam!

A- A Nutritionist probably does not really take this junk as one of the ads say. If it's true that he does, he should loose his certification.
B-They take this junk with WATER - thats what makes them feel better.

From just about everything I've read and heard..pure snake oil. The commercials make you think this product was developed by a medical doctor/nutrionist. Nope. He's a chiropractor who lives down in St. George. Of course, he doesn't care because at the prices he charges, he's taking his money to the bank in bags.

Anything that needs that much advertising ain't selling itself. Good products need very little advertising. Lots of crappola being sold on media.

I don't think I would do well trying to choke down 6 of those giant capsules a day (3 each). Someone would have to stand by for a Heimlich maneuver.

I once had a neighbor that was 87 and lived alone. I saw him all the time coming home with a stack of pizzas. I mean like 5 or 6. I got a chance to ask him about it and he said that was all he ate. He just did his grocery shopping at Pizza Hut. He must have had a serious amount of Pizza Points.

I hate anything where a grown man is saying the word "veggies." That's baby talk. Now, the pizza diet doesn't sound bad. And, beer has vitamins, too.

My 92 year-old neighbor eats almost exclusively steaks, chops, ribs, bacon, and ice cream. Hates vegetables, but does love watermelon and pumpkin pie from Costco. He's got 20 years on me and it just could be due to the pleasure he gets from that delicious diet.

The great sports commentator Al Micheals, know best for his "do you believe in miracles" call when USA hockey beat the Russians in the 1980 Olympics, has never knowingly eaten a vegetable.
