There's a cobbler baking in the oven right now. I got 20 gallons off my bushes last year but only three gallons this year because of a late frost. That didn't hurt me because I usually let the neighbors have most of them after I get what I want. I've got probably a half gallon left that can be picked and then I'm going to trim them back and put some time release fertilizer on them. I like this time of year because instead of eating a fat breakfast I eat fresh picked blueberries over Cheerios instead. I like to freeze at least eight quarts of them for holiday pies or cobblers. I planted five bushes near the house. I found five more scattered around my little farm that were apparently "planted" by birds. All the wild plants plus a couple of Huckleberry bushes appear to be different varieties. All are delicious.
