I just spent a few days in Gatlinburg TN. The traffic there was as bad as any I have seen in many years of driving around Washington D.C. On more then one occasion I witnessed people with pro gun stickers driving in what I thought was a rude or unsafe manner. I think that might reinforce negative stereotypes people have about gun owners. I try to be a safe, courteous driver, but I am sure I make mistakes. I do not want to risk giving anyone a bad impression of gun owners, so no stickers for me.

I have family (by marriage) there, but even for me and their cousin--my wife--if you ain't from there, you are an outsider. Mountain people from way back. But they have more money than Ft. Knox, thanks to the silly tourists. Traffic has been horrible there for eons. They could not care less what anyone thinks of them. Tomorrow you will be gone and they will still be there.

Sounds a bit like Sedona, AZ.

I think it is just safer if strangers out in public do not know my political/2A affiliations. I have heard of vandalism on vehicles that have such bumper stickers.

The only thing that would single me out is the NRA hat I wear out from time to time. Any other time I am the invisible concealed carrier.

Grey man. Drive grey vehicles with no distinguishing marks/stickers. No tattoos here either. You ever seen a bumper sticker on a Ferrari?

Have heard that if a vehicle has more than 7 bumper stickers on it, chances of being involved in road rage incident increases by 50%.

So no. Advertising yer a 2nd amendment fan is in no way a gain and in many ways a loss.

Element of surprise is not to be wasted! Would rather have the 8 3/8" barrel of my S&W 629 no dash stuffed up their right nostril without giving them any indication of what may confront them if they get jiggy.

Yet another reason not to do it, and one that partially informs my decision not to. These companies aren't paying me to advertise for them. My car isn't beautiful, but it looks a whole lot better without a bunch of stickers all over it. You want me to ugly it up, put some cash in my hand. Or give me a car and you can put all the stickers on it you want. But I'm not going to be your unpaid salesman.
