Netflix Movie..Leave the World Behind.
Kinda hard to sit through.
Some scenes made little to no sense.
Anyone catch it ?

They gave it some excellent pre-release promotion.
Tried to watch it on the release date.
Can’t waiting for it to make sense!
If I get really bored I might try to finish it!

Yeah, waited 2.5 hours for something to make sense. Kinda like the years 2008-2016.

Watched it Sunday night. One of the worst my wife and I have ever suffered through. Some parts were utterly ridiculous. To be honest my wife fell asleep four or five times. Don't waste your time. Two thumbs down from this household.

Didn't hate it. Yeah, there's some obvious racism on 2 sides, but the 2 sides wind up working together. Seen a LOT worse..

It was an excellent premise very poorly executed. I did appreciate the tanker scene though. Joe

Trailers are the best part. The movie itself is a total waste of time.

I wasn't impressed. Such a good cast gone to waste on a trash movie that was disjointed and basically defunct of any entertainment value. I would much rather watch a Godzilla movie.

That goes for many alternative present/dystopian future movies. I read the plot synopsis on Wikipedia. Yeah, I see where the writer(s) were going with it.

Admittedly, it was confusing at times and some parts didn't make much sense. But I kinda liked it.
I think most of you simply missed the point. Its about how dependent we've become on our electronic devices and how shutting them down would lead to the collapse of society. A very valid premise in today's world.

The Teslas were crashing because they all magically turned on self pilot and decided to all drive the same route and did not not auto stop but crash. They made a point of zooming in on the wondow sticker that showed the auto-drive option. Um..no. The kid losing his teeth..and being "saved" by the prepper with magic pills...after the obligatory standoff of weapons. I don't even understand the shack in the woods at all. Pretty far fetched movie and was at least hoping to see Julia in her swim suit but nope! Waste of time. I watched the 1983 movie The Day After for the first time recently, and that is a good flick!
After many years of having netflix and watching the available selection dwindle to trash..I decided to cancel them today

Grayfox—After reading the premise I thought it sounded interesting too. I could care less who made it, I have neither the time or energy to vet the political leanings of those providing goods and services to me. Moreover, I was raised that another man’s political beliefs are none of my business, anyway.
I will check it out. Also I watched the preview on the Sisu! Any movie where a Nazi gets a knife in the head gets my vote!

I stayed with it, then I started wondering how they were going to end it because it was looking like they were just going to do a "mic drop". About 2 minutes before the end I saw it coming.
Gripping, but then it let go.

If you like watching bad guys bite the dust in a very violent way, Netflix has every Liam Neeson movie ever made.

I won’t watch Liam. His view on guns makes him a hypocrite of the first order for me. He can earn his living with them in movies but we the people should not own them.

Saw an interview with the CEO of Intel today. He spoke a lot about their new AI chips for home computers that he claims will soon cause a revolutionary change in the way everyone lives, more so than personal computers and iPhones. I am more concerned than ever that all those electrons are plotting against humanity and will shut off all of our power.

I would beg to differ on your point that another man’s political beliefs are none of your business. That is a potentially dangerous attitude.
They are very much my business when their voting habits impact my taxes, gasoline prices, school curriculum, and Constitutional liberties.

Many of the new Netflix movies/series are like that now, and thus unwatchable in so many ways… The propaganda is real.

Admittedly, I had high hopes because the premise of the movie has merit. Of course as the fine details emerged, it has become a hard pass in the kozmic household. I'll save the popcorn for something worth our time and with a bit less divisiveness.

Haven’t seen it yet, but from the description and the posts here, the premise sounds a lot like “One Second After” by William Forstchen…an excellent read if you haven’t already.

Just watched an interesting movie on Netflix
I am not a Julia Roberts fan but we were looking for something to watch and this movie looked interesting. I won't say it's a blockbuster movie however it was very interesting and gets you thinking. Starts off very slow but once things progress it gets interesting and is worth watching.
The title is "Leave the World Behind" and it just came out on Netflix. Again, it's no award winning movie, but worth a watch - quite relevant to the world we now live in.

I started watching it but after about 30 minutes I discovered there were more important things to do such as rearrange my sock drawer.
