I misplaced my Costco aids on Christmas Eve and have been looking for them since. IDK if they got mixed in with the trash or the cats got them, but, anyhow, they've gone for now.
Thinking about a a set of OTC aids until I can locate my old ones.
Any recommendations?

I have had Costco hearing aids for over two years and during that time they have been great. But once in a while I will lose one for a day or so. Last summer I lost one and found it four days later in the bottom of our outdoor hot tub. After a battery charge it worked as good as new. If you are like me you will find them in a day or two. They will be in the last place you'll look for them.

Curious, how much are do they cost through Costco? Don’t think I’m quite there yet, but starting to think they’ll be in my future…

According to this article from last April, the Bose OTC are $980. Jabra also have a model but Costco doesn't offer it, although they do have Jabra (GN Sound) hearing aids. I'm getting fitted for a pair of the latter on Jan. 18th to replace my older Rextons, which I'll keep as backup.

Whether OTC will work for you (Acorn) is hard to say. But if you already have fitted HAs, at $900 for OTC, it's a toss-up whether it's worth it. Costco's professionally-fitted aids start at $1600; depending on your hearing loss, OTC may or may not provide sufficient correction.

I don't really NEED a hearing aid, but I know I am getting there. My health insurance allows $1500 for purchase every three years and I am at least thinking about it. I know that Sam's Club has them (I am not a Costco member). I assume what Sam's Club has must be similar to Costco. Does anyone know about Sam's Club hearing aids? I know zero about them. Or any other good hearing aid sources?

My ENT doc recommended Bose or Jabra. At least that’s what I thought he said.

I have the Jabra Enhance Pro's, but they are my daily set.
They are actually Resound brand, repackaged and sold by Jabra.
As my daily use pair I feel like they have been a great value.
For a back up set I would probably go with one of their cheaper sets.

That's what I'm getting. As a retired musician I wanted something that would allow at least some reasonable music reproduction (within the limits of HA's; I have very good headphones for real music listening). I figured that Jabra (Resound/GN Group) knew something about music reproduction. It would be mostly for a little enhancement when listening over my speakers but also occasionally to stream from my iPhone when waiting in a medical office.

I have a feeling I'll be "training" the audiologist at Costco as very few know about the Music program's internal adjustments,. (The audiologist was surprised they were under the setup software's "Environmental controls.") But I've already been in touch with a tech at Resound Canada so I know what to ask for!

If you have a prescription for hearing aids I do not think they require a membership. I know you can buy meds at Costco without a membership.
If you want to shop Costco but do not want to become a member, give a friend that is a member, some money and have them buy you a Costco gift card.
Best,
Gary
