VA Gov vetoed 30 gun laws
Youngkin goes big for the 2A!
Would like to shake his hand and buy him a beer!

The links to that website get corrupted somewhere along the line. Just copy the URL into the address bar and edit it.
ETA: Site wants you to sign up. Never mind.

I had already seen several stories on this. I was just giving the OP a heads up.

Glenn Youngkin is an elected official who backs up his words with action regardless of their effect on his likelihood of re-election.
It's refreshing.

Virginia governors can only serve one four year term at a time, but can serve a total of two terms.
I'm hoping he will run for the Senate in the future.

From '75 to '79 I made my annual pilgrimages to the Union Grove Fiddlers Convention in Union Grove, NC and the Galax Fiddlers Convention in your stompin' grounds. Absurdly fun!
Thanks for the memory jog.

A man of his word. He is stymied by the majority liberal legislators but is using his veto pen to make sure the Commonwealth does not go backwards to the restrictions placed on firearms by the McAuliffe crew and especially Mark Herring who served as Attorney General in a couple of liberal anti-gun Administrations. I don't own any "assault weapons" but the 5 day waiting period is a typical blue state requirement.

You can tell he's just an average Joe like us...his shirt sleeves are rolled up. We all should be lucky to have a governor like him. No waiting period in PA. (Maybe I shouldn't give our elected officials any ideas.)

You notice that he's not wearing a necktie.
... an off-color attorney joke, but applicable to politicians.

I'll have to admit that I was sweating it that one or two of them would get through but our man in office did the right thing and basically shut the anti's down this time. We gun owners here have to make sure this will continue. BTW, if any of you want to call and thank him here is the no. to call: 804-786-2211 option 2.

I'd hardly be celebrating. That these bills even made it to his desk is troubling. He's limited to a single term. Next (D) governor will sign them all, since obviously the VA legislature is lost.

...an ongoing and endless battle. They will keep pushing and pushing and pushing. When we are not around they will still be pushing.
That guy that went on the stabbing spree in Illinois is the reason that I am sitting on my S&W Shield this very minute. I'm sure that soon I will be declared a danger to society.

IF a democrat governor is elected. His lt. gov. is very popular and so is the AG so either one could get elected if they decide to run. We have to keep a positive outlook on this. A win is a win here.

Winsome Sears would be a candidate who could get some votes not usually expected from her demographic voters and Jason Miyares from the growing Hispanic community here. We are seeing more minority folks who are becoming conservative in their political views. If we are to survive they should be welcomed into the fold. Youngkin was thinking of the future when he put together his team of candidates.
