Stopped at the Kittery Trading Post today for the last time.
I had to go to New Hampshire today to pick up a rental RV for my Arizona move next week. There was no way I would be able to drive by KTP on the way home without stopping. For many years they have been my go to gunshop.
Of course I had to spend some money while I was there. They had a gorgeous new 6" blued Python in the case. It came home and joined my 3" and 4" stainless. I think every collection needs a 6" Python!

I have been there many times when my Daughter attended college near by. We no longer live in that part of the Country so I highly doubt I'll ever go again - but they had a beautiful store!!!

If you go through Houston on your way, stop at Collector's Firearms on Westheimer. You may be pleasantly surprised.

All the gun shops I hung out in are gone and the owners are also. The new ones are filled with plastic toys. It is a lonesome life when you get old and your friends are too.

That’ll be a slight adjustment, Maine to Southern Az just as summer is starting.
Could be worse though, at least it’s cooler than Tucson or Phoenix.

The other way at the beginning of winter would be a slight adjustment also. Go from 100 degrees and A/C to 100 inches and a snowblower. I'm sure Mike will adapt. Anyone tough enough to wrangle 6 cats will survive, I'm thinking.

Mike, just seen this post. Congrats on the AZ move. Ah, KTP. I have been going there every year, at least once, since the early 1970's. I was there one year when Maine F&G had a "display" moose get loose and start chasing people around the parking lot.. I always budget extra $$ before stopping there - You never know when you are going to see something you didn't know you needed!!

… it doesn’t matter where it grasps it, a five ounce swallow can’t carry a one pound coconut.
