Default RIP Roger Corman

Picked up a blip on the BBC News that Roger Corman passed 9 May. His filmography is huge, The Pit and the Pendulum and the other Poe adaptations were early in his career. I was surprised to find he was involved in Battle Beyond the Stars and the 70s B movie standard, Piranha.

RIP, and thanks for the entertainment.

For all that he is put down as a "B-movie/drive-in feature" producer, a lot of big names got their start under his tutelage, learned a lot about making movies from him.
The one picture of his that lost money was "The Intruder" starring William Shatner, his one attemp0t to make a "heavy message" movie.

He used a ton of budding actors; it probably kept the costs way down. Similar to Twilight Zone and many early weekly TV shows.
Many movies under his belt. RIP
