We braved being amongst people last night to see Tedeschi Trucks in concert. We saw her 20 years ago at a small blues festival and loved her performance. She has a great voice and plays a mean guitar. But her band was the real surprise. Her husband, Derek Trucks is one of the best guitar players I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot! He is the nephew of Allman Brothers drummer Butch Trucks and just grew up playing. I read he played with Buddy Guy when he was 13! The band was awesome, the concert was great and as an added bonus, Little Feat opened for them. They were solid and fun to see again. Almost enough to make me wanna venture out more..

Funny this popped up! I missed them last time they passed through town and was considering going to Nashville to catch this tour when I noticed a Chattanooga show was just added. I've been a fan of hers since the 'Just Won't Burn' days and seriously appreciate his talent and heritage. Heard their live shows are tighter than bark on a tree. Splurged and scored a pair of eighth row center tickets this morning.

If ever there was a second coming of Duane Allman it's Derek Trucks. Have seen them several times including once in a small club in Rocky Mount, VA of all places. Maybe 300 people in there max. That one definitely blew your hair back. The show at Red Rocks should be amazing.

At some point in every show, Derek will go into this other-worldly solo that always leaves my lower jaw on the floor. I always thought that Susan "over sang", but in the past few years she has absolutely found her sweet spot and now she ranks as one of my favorite female singers. Their band is so very tight and polished. I rank them as one of the best touring bands today. Perhaps the very best. They hit our area every year and I am always there.
I took my son and D-I-L to a TTB concert a couple years ago. Midway thru I looked over and my daughter-in-law was crying. She said it was the prettiest thing she'd ever heard. It was during Midnight In Harlem.

Several summers ago we bought tickets to see them at LB Day amphitheater on the Oregon State Fairgrounds. 9,000 seat outdoor amphitheater with a covered stage. Paid $89 a ticket, and the day of the concert it started raining and it got heavier as the day went on. By concert time it was a deluge with high winds just to make it really nasty. We decided not to go.

Last year we saw that they were playing at Red Rocks with Los Lobos, so we bought plane tickets and flew out there for the concert. It was outstanding. Derek Trucks and the whole band can play. Susan has an amazing voice. It all added up to a great evening, well worth the trip.

If you get a chance to see this band live, do it.

I’d see them again in a heartbeat if they ever come back this way ! I’ve been a big fan of the Allman Brothers, Dickey Bettes and Warren Haynes for many years as well as a Fan of Susan’s and theses guys are every bit as good together as anyone playing today.
