I can’t help it, but I enjoy watching the 3 Stooges. If I am in need of a good laugh on a Saturday, I will tune into the Stooges at 6pm. Today was one of those days. For the life of me I can’t imagine owning a horse like the one shown on the show. If this was a current show, and not one from the 30’s, I would swear that it has to be somehow photoshopped! Have y’all ever seen a more sway backed horse?

Nyuk!...I think they all three rode that horse at the same time too...PETA would have a fit today...I have all their two-reelers on DVD so I need to sit down for a Stooge-a-thon...I'll even watch the ones with Joe Besser and Joe DeRita...:D...Ben

You are right, they did all three ride that horse at the same time, and PETA would definitely protest them like crazy. The three of them riding that horse at the same time had to be rough on the “family jewels”! Of course, if it wasn’t for them putting that nag on TV, I would suspect the only other place for it would be the glue factory, so which would they prefer? I must admit that I’m not a “Joe’s” fan, either one.

Another thing about the Stooges is the fact that the shows were definitely a very physical comedy! I don’t see how they did it for so many years without some serious injuries. And it is remarkable how well Curly could move as a “big boned” guy!🤣

My understanding is drinking, obesity, and high blood-pressure were the official causes of Curly's strokes, but I have to believe the blows to the head couldn't have been good for his long term health.

Curly was a real ladies man.....

....he was a real rounder and didn't like having to cut his hair and mustache for the part. It's sad, he said that one time a woman asked him if he was Curly from the Three Stooges and when he said 'Yes', she punched him in the stomach HARD!"

That said, I LOVE the Three Stooges. I think my favorite episode was 'A Plumbing We Will Go'. We used to hook up hoses to the pumphouse and climb all around the swingset yelling, "To the basement! To the basement!" "Disorder in the Court" was another fave. I can't remember the name of it but the riveters on the skyscraper was GREAT! 'Violent is the Word for Curly'....I still go around singing the 'swingin' alphabet'.

Another scene, I think from "The Three Stooges in Orbit" Curly (must have been Curly Joe DeRita) are working on a spaceship in a garage and a 'typical Martian' is peeping in. Curly shoves a pipe through a hole and conks the Martian, who promptly shoves the pipe back through and conks Curly. This exchange goes on and I'm laughing here thinking about the so called 'intelligent' Martian acting like a Stooge.:D:D:D

Yes, I've seen a sway back like the picture. Believe it or not, it was at the future wife of a Star Trek star's family farm.

The horse in question was one of the nicest, most gentlest horses I've ever met.
