I met my friend for a light lunch today at the TGIFridays by Scranton.
Overall, it was ok.
She ordered some fancy blue green drink. She said it was good (came with a slice of fresh pineapple). I had 2 Miller Lite drafts.
We got the appetizer platter. Picked mozzarella sticks, Buffalo wings (bone in), and potato skins.
The mozzarella sticks were good. I always liked them at TGIFridays. A little different, and the marinara sauce is ok.
The wings were average. A little on the small side. Good sauce though.
The potato skins I had half of one. I don't care for them much. My friend complained that they should use a better grade or type of cheese.
She picked up the tab, which I didn't expect. So I'm not sure what the total was, but I'm guessing about 40 bucks. The beers were 5 each, her drink 9, and the platter 18.
It was ok. All I really cared about was to visit and catch up.
We met at 1pm, and it was quiet. By the time we left an hour later, it did fill up some. They were short handed for help, so I'm glad we got there when we did.
On my way home I passed Olive Garden, where the parking lot was full. Again, I don't get it. There are so many good mom and pop Italian places in and around Scranton. Olive Garden isn't on my list.
Red Lobster was relatively empty. If I had to make a choice, I'd rake RL over OG.
So that's all folks.
