Well hell

Best wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery.

I had a fall last year going down steps with socks on, went right down about 6 steps on my tailbone. Like Rusty said it was a constant throbbing pain for months. It has finally stopped but I am pretty sure I broke it. My wife thought the house was coming down as I bounced down each step. A wake-up call for me that I don't have the balance and agility I once had.

Statistically, adults over 60, 25% fall, over 65,33% fall, over 80, 50% fall. Falls are the leading cause of further medical problems, especially broken hips and head injuries and those broken bones quickly develop arthritis. You read about people falling every day in the print media and sometimes in the Obits as well. Father Time is a cruel person so step carefully, but the odds are against us dinosaurs.
