Gasoline prices
Wow, just saw gasoline on gas buddy in Oklahoma City for $2.11 per gallon at Valero. Many places including Sam’s Club had it for $2.19! Might be time to take my wife on a road trip before the fall colors change to brown.

Quick Look at GasBuddy, I see $2.55.
The other day, paid $2.60 down on the Nation.
Isleta Pueblo, they pay Fed Tax but not State Tax.
Way to go Navy!
Good job in protecting Tankers in the Straits of Hormuz!
I’m still a little confused.
That 25mm remotely controlled Bushmaster Chain Gun often used there ejects spent rounds foward from a tube over the barrel.

We went into the city yesterday, the best price I saw gas was $3.14. The average price in that area was about $3.25.
In my home arena the average price was $3.70. Needles to say we try to get gas when traveling out of our rather rural high priced area.

In the Reno area gas is $4.58 across the boarder in Truckee Calif.
In town the low is around $3.89 for 87 strength.
Cheaper in the Capital but you have a 60 mile trip and travel time, involved.

$2.70 at Sam's this morning in West Central IL. That tax in IL adds usually an extra .50-.60 per Gal. over our Missouri neighbor just across the river.

It's all over the place around here and sometimes changes hourly. It was $2.69 at one station. An hour later it was $2.89. The next morning it was back to $2.79 and now it's back to $2.74. All of this within 4 days. Most of the stations seem to be doing about the same thing and it's a PITA. I usually use Sam's Club unless one of the locals is within 2 or 3 cents of it since it's about 10 miles away. I'd rather spend the extra 50 or 75 cents totally and not have to wait in line anyway.

Our little bumper car is 26/32 mpg.
Lately the pinch at the pump rarely leaves a bruise.

It's not going down around here. Regular is still $3.39. PA has a gas tax near the top in the country.

$3.05.9 here today. Oil closed at $69.30 today, RBOB (wholesale gas) $2.04.
Even with the outrageous (local) $.66/gal "road use" and other taxes, we get robbed each day. The ubiquitous "they" say each penny over the "fair price" is a couple $million in "free profit" to the industry. $35 million a day is a billion in a month. Down the road the industry gets "investigated," found guilty of "profiteering" and fined a hundred million dollars (or 10%). And the people go: "Wow." Joe

I feel the pain just like everyone else. But one must look at the other side too.
The powers that be would like to put the oil and gas companies out of business. With that vision, they need to make high profits now so that they can invest in green stuff so they can survive in the future.

Yeah, we have more Teslas around here than anyplace in the US (it don't get too cold for 'em). 99% of vehicles here burn gas though, darn if'n it ain't convenient. Just drive far as you can, pull over, fill up, keep going. I'm buying that. Joe

Paid 2.599 just about an hour ago. Not the lowest price in town, though.
2.38 at Sams which I don't trust. 2.42 at several other places including my usual Texaco station, but I had to buy on the road today (Sunoco) since I neglected to fill up yesterday. Wasn't sure I could make it the 10 miles to my usual station.

Gas is usually a little cheaper there in the NE area. But I don't get up there much. Sam’s is often a dime cheaper than anyplace else.

$2.36 the other day at Costco in Pflugerville. Since moving to Texas I've noticed that gas prices are volatile. We can see a $0.30/gallon overnight.
Still cheaper than in the northeast.

Come to central Texas. Even if we don't count the ones coming out of the factory in Austin, we have a lot of Teslas here. There are even plenty of chargers for them.

I filled up for $2.33 in Biloxi, Ms. last Friday. Gas here was $2.42 the day before Hurricane Katrina hit us in 2005. It was below $2.00 when Trump left office in 2020. They could still be making money at a dollar a gallon. I'll be 77 next month. I remember paying ten cents a gallon in Louisiana when I was a teenager. Today at less than $2.50 a gallon I can still go to a lot of retirement places I enjoy.

Has Gasbuddy changed their search page?
Anyhow, regular gas and diesel are about the same, with the cheapest about $3.20.

I would like to see some REAL data based on facts. So far, those that own an EV simply make "claims".
OK, say I drive 200 miles and use 6 gal of gas at $3.00, so my trip costs me $18. OTOH, take a Tesla and make the same trip. How much does the charging station charge you?

Yes, very much so, for the worse.
You can't look at a town to see all the prices of gas, now.
They only list six or so pumps............... bummer.

Gas and oil prices are the Canary in the coal mine. Once they start to drop everything else falls in line shortly thereafter. Like it or not we are a country that runs on fossil fuels and fuel prices have a direct impact on COL across the board.

Tell that to my electricity provider, they have gone up four cents in four years per KWH. My bill is up $71 a month versus four years ago.

As somebody who lives at the butt end of the supply line, the price of goods often reflects the price of fuel. However, I have a suspicion that corporate greed is going to keep prices high. In many corporate minds, they are still playing catch up from COVID.

$2.36.9 at my closest Sam’s Club this morning. I filled up. Most every other station nearby is in the $2.50-2.80 range today, up a dime or so overnight.
