From what I've seen, there aren't a lot of Tesla fans here, so this might get a laugh.
The driver of a Tesla who rammed two parked cars, then fled, unwittingly led police to his location after his dinged electric vehicle started leaking fluid, the Burnaby RCMP says.

...The impacts knocked off a piece of the Tesla’s fender, clearly identifying it as a Model X.

Burnaby RCMP followed a trail of liquid from the crash site to a residence...[where] a suspect was arrested for failing to stay at the scene of a crash and the Tesla, along with video from its camera system, was seized.

“This was a fluid investigation and our officers simply followed the evidence,” said [officer] Kalanj. “While ‘X’ didn’t necessarily mark the spot, ‘Model X’ definitely assisted our officers in identifying the suspect vehicle.”
Given the apparently very high costs of repairing a Tesla and the owner's culpability, I hope the insurance company gives him the cold shoulder.

Even more bad news. Tesla recently stopped supplying parts to anyone who was not a Tesla agent. The cars are being written of by insurance companies for new ones as they now cannot be fixed.

And we all know that the insurance companies will try anything to get out of a claim.

Don’t know a lot about how they work but I wonder what kind of
Fluid they left. Don’t think they use antifreeze and I don’t think electric motors use that much oil and as far as I know, the batteries don’t use acid.?

Drivers tears knowing how much it was going to cost him to repair?
I like Teslas, less cars at the pump for gas and diesel

There's a number of Cybertrucks in the area. UGLY! Can't really figure out where they'd carry a load. Doesn't appear you could take one to the building supply for a bunch of 2x4s or a sheet of plywood. Guess they're for well heeled virtue signalers who want to appear rugged.

It's great when they leave a trail.
Reminds me of something my brother told me once. he was living in Garden City, Kansas and they had a pizza guy get robbed at gunpoint. He showed up at the delivery address and when he got on the porch 2 guys came from behind and took his wallet, money and the pizza. Then they hit him in the head and took off on foot. Nobody answered the door at his delivery address, but the next door neighbors called the police for him. The police got there looked around a bit and arrested 4 guys 3 houses down from the delivery address. How did they find them? Well, the 4 inches of snow on the ground made it easy to track the assailants as they ran from the front of the house, around the back and thru the back yards to the back door of their house. They hadn't finished the pizza when they were arrested.

Electric vehicles have a cooling system that circulates coolant/antifreeze through the battery to keep it from overheating.

Not the battery, but the inverter and other components in some vehicles. Batteries have are more likely to have heating systems in EVs. Cold weather decreases battery performance dramatically.

Like they say...You can't fix stupid.

Some friends recently bought a new RAV4. It has lots of electronic fiddly bits. Since it was primarily her car, they connected it to her cellphone. Shortly thereafter Gary arrived at home and his wife looked him straight in the eyeballs and asked "well, did you get a ticket?" He likes to drive "a bit" over the posted limits. The car ratted him out and texted the owner. Supposed to be kid-surveillance, but in this case it caught an adult child.

EV's need a differential, the same as ICEV's. It's also a reduction gear.

Some guy posted on a local forum that he was in need of an electrician because every time he charges his Tesla, the outlet in the garage starts smoking. About 20 suggestions for electricians in, I finally posted--Stop charging your Tesla before you burn your house to the ground. No one else mentioned it.

What's that thing they say about "common sense"?

Bwahahaha…I love it when someone’s expensive toys rat them out. Next they’ll try and pass a law something akin to spousal privilege for electronic devices!

:D

The fact that almost all cops have common sense doesn't mean that they are not competent in other areas, as well.

some flavor of coolant.
While electric doesn't make as much heat, it still makes it and it must be dealt with.
