UPDATED 04/01/25

I received the new blinds today and the new color we chose is even better than the original was. It went up in a few minutes but I had to use the new mounting brackets they supplied because the mount design has been changed a little. What GREAT customer service Levelor has!!!! I am truly impressed! :):)

3 years ago when we moved here we purchased a Levelor blind through Lowes. It was for the double glass 6 foot sliding door in our master bedroom - out to our lanai. Last week when I opened it one morning, something broke and with a loud noise the left side of the shade fell down. Apparently some part of the internal mechanism broke. I did not even bother to inspect the internal damage but I did call Lowes. Lowes gave me the direct number to Levelor and I called this morning.

I was able to actually speak to a very helpful customer service Gal within 2 minutes. She spoke perfect english as she was an American located right in the Company's headquarters in Atlanta GA. She told me the blinds come with a no nonsense warranty for a period of ten years! That in itself was a pleasant surprise! She directed me to their website (while remaining on the phone) to select a color as the color we originally ordered was discontinued. She made a few recommendations and my wife and I selected a color but it was in a much more expensive material category ($150.00 more than we had originally paid). The Gal on the phone said to us, " don't worry about the higher price category, we will not charge you anything. Then when I said it's a little challenging to select a color on a computer screen, she said to me..... "no worries, if you hate the color we will replace it free of charge"!   WOW!! I was blown away! I think that service rivals Dillon Precision's or even bests it!

The new Blind is being shipped one week from today Fedex. Again it is 6 feet long and weighs a bit, so the freight can't be cheap. I can not say enough so far about this Company. What an incredible experience. I believe the Levelor brand was only marginally more expensive (maybe $50 or so) than the other brand we looked at while initially buying them at Lowes. Well I guess that $50 was very well spent although I will admit at the time I had no idea I'd need to warranty them.

As much as I complain about modern day customer service at many other Company's, the Levelor Corp gets my highest approval rating and I had to post that here! After this experience I would not consider any other brand! :) :) :) :) :) :)

Chief, coming from you, that is high praise. Mrs tlawler and I are building our forever home and that information is serendipitous…we were just discussing window and slider treatments. I didn’t realize Levelor was still an American company, and that will play heavily into our buying decision.

Ditto here too.
I have to replace 5 windows.
Some are just blinds, others are blackout shutters but I will definitely look at Levelor Blind at Lowes.
I am tired of buying something with a guarantee just to have it fall apart/break and then fighting to get service.
FYI, Lowes and Home Depot have a 10% military discount.

In our community & among our friends and family I am know as a very discerning man. AKA a picky, OCD, P.I.T.A. with ultra high standards. :D:D I embellish that! :D

I actually take that as a compliment as I do fully understand what quality, excellent customer service and good business practices are. When I was in my own manufacturing business, some may have questioned my price but no one ever questioned quality and CS. I was not happy unless my customers raved about our company - and that was worth more to me than shaving off a few bucks in the manufacturing process to increase profitability. Once they saw what I was about and what I delivered, price was never mentioned again. I never lacked for business - just employees with the skill, pride, honesty and ethics. My hardest task was in finding these kind of employees. When I did I paid them more than any of my competitors would - that's how I kept them and it paid off in the long run. They in turn made me money.

Lol…Chief, we’ve met, and I remember having a long talk over a beer with you. I was impressed with your attention to detail and discernment. It was an enlightening conversation and I think it helped me to be more circumspect in my subsequent dealings with others. Ditto to your threads on various subjects; I find them very informative and educational.
