I had a bunch of limes from us drinking Caronas a while back. I put them in a Bud a few minutes ago and it tastes great. I always had this Mexican bias about limes in beer. I guess I should be more open minded.

Most people think of Corona when they think of the lime wedge in the beer... But it should work in any lighter beer. Miller even makes their "Chill" beer that I believe is Miller Lite with "a hint of lime and salt". I've never put salt in my beer, but lime is great in a lighter lager beer in these warm months.

Warsteiner no aditives. Cheers! If you like citrus go ahead and add some salt to the mix All the lawnguys love it that way.

Go for the total yuppie look while drinking that Mexican beer with a slice of lime and point your pinkie out while drinking. "Lawnguys", now that's funny. But I could be wrong... and the opinions are mine and may not reflect general opinion.

I am usually a dark beer guy or at least a full body beer but the Budlite with Lime is really great, especially when you are really thursty.
Goes down easy and not that filling.

I actually drink either Miller Lite or Bud Light and always with a lime. Come to think if it, unless its a good dark beer I drink them all with a lime Amberbock is great with lime.

Just give me a freakin' cold Michelob!
And NO! I don't mean an "Ultra", or "Dry", or any other kind, Dammit! Lime is good if it's blazing hot and I'm dehydrated. But it's not a deal breaker since the invention of Freon.

A few times I found myself in Colorado and stopped off at the Coors brewery. That's where I fell in love with Blue Moon.. with or without the orange slice.

My brother-in-law works for Coors - he drives the train (is that a cool job or what??). He always has Blue Moon in the fridge.

I don't drink anything with lime or lemons anymore. I saw one of those expose' reports showing the filth that is found on bar cutting boards. Apparently they never get washed because they always have a part of a lime and the knife sitting on them. Makes sense to me. It was worse than the bathroom. I don't touch water if it has lemon in it after seeing that!
Beer should be drunk straight up!

I thought the reason you put the lime in a Carona is because it tastes like crap and you're trying to mask the taste.

No Thanks!!! I want my beer to just taste like beer

wow. Pretty strong opinions about beer. You'd think we're talking about dead abortionists! With all due respect, I'd put a dog turd in my beer if it tasted good, wheather you all like it or not. I just don't have the guts to be the first guy to try it. I'll ask Obama to ask Kieth Oberman to try it. Oberman would be out on the lawn in a second looking for a dog turd to heed the wishes of his living God.

On a warm summer afternoon/evening: XX Lager (green bottle) with a bit of lime. Flavorful yet satisfying. A few drops of lime juice from a bottle works just as well as a squeeze from a lime wedge. The touch of lime makes the beer even more refreshing. XX Lager with a touch of lime also compliments steak off the grill quite well.

Of course, some beers should never be "fruitted" IMO. Darker beers and brews that are heavy on the hopps don't work well with fruit, IMO. Some wheat brews are good with a touch of lemon or orange.

As for the salt - never much like it in any beer, but some love it.
