Warsaw Uprising, Aug.1, 1944
Solemn ceremonies were held in Poland with the playing of the national anthem for the 65th anniversary. And no politicians were allowed to speak!

Oldfella, I wish it were so, but I fear that politicians are like cock-roaches (literally in some cases) in that a few of them always seem to survive and become an infestation again.

One of my College History Professors was a teenage Courier/Runner
during the uprising
I always liked him
I liked him even more when I found out his History
