thank you for the post, it is a new haven small frame magazine pistol, model nr 1 pocket pistol, cal 31, serial nr 280 / they where manufactured between 1857-1860 there have been +/- 850 build of this type. great that you enjoy the item. i have in the collection S&W volcanic large and small frame, the Volcanic large frame and the new haven smal frame, also i have a jennings rifle and a smith jennings rifle and a newhaven marked henry.... if you send me your email, i am gladd to send you some pictures of these early historic very important repeaters... my best, and thanks again for your interrest
