How is this a bad design? This isn’t a bad design. They made the firearm to work as an EZ. I’m sure this required some out of the box thinking. Explain how a failure to read and understand the manual makes this firearm bad.

OP, you’ve gotten a lot of really good responses from people here and the problem isn’t fixed. I would highly recommend you take it to a gunsmith or ship it to S&W. At this point I would be worried about the weapon having a hidden problem even if you somehow get it back together. For your own...

I have a bad feeling you’re gonna find out the holsters do NOT match. In theory they should be compatible but there’s a very slim chance. The 9mm is longer, wider and fits differently.

Just installed the Truglo pro’s. Perfect match. You will need a sight tool for the front but the rear is changed out with the S&W supplied hex key. Save the screw, Truglo does NOT include a new one.

Heard back from Truglo Truglo is now making the pro sights for the 9mm EZ. Available on the website. I sent them an email and they got right back to me.
