This guy has come by every other Thursday looking for the feeders he destroyed in April. I've got a load of rubber buckshot waiting for him on his next visit, which should be next week. He's about 15 feet from our basement door.
The 4th picture shows clearly it is a 617-5. The Standard Catalog of S&W shows the 617-5 as starting in 2001 and adds the internal locking system to the 6-shot frame. The 617-2 10-shot had the alloy cylinder.
SCS&W shows serial number prefix CHM as July 2004 and CSR as July 2004.
