The 4" 686 is the one to have. Back in the day when bulls eye shooting was the going game with a revolver, the 6" for the increased sight radius helped accuracy in competition. I would not give up my 4" . It can be holster carried and is great for informal target shooting and just plain old...
I have a never used K L Null Shoulder Holster for a J frame revolver that I would like to sell. I have decided that this is not a carry option that I would like to pursue.
I have adjusted it for my use and I wear a size 42 suit size, and there is considerable adjustment left on the harness.
New...
My 2 cents...you got a fair deal. Looks like very little wear on the gun, if any. Follow through with the purchase, shoot the gun and make sure it is in good working order. Clean it well (don't go crazy, it is a blued gun) and enjoy it. If you are unhappy, you should be able to sell it or...
Yes, I have all of the original paper work, gun rug and box. It has been living in my safe since it in my possession. I will get some pictures off to you soon. I'm thinking about a price.
I have a Thunder Ranch model 22 purchased new in 2006. I have run 50 to 100 rounds of .45acp through the gun. I would estimate it to be at least 95% +. It has never been carried.
I may let it go for the right price.
Are you still in the market?
Here's another vote for Lobo Holsters. It is a great holster at a reasonable price. E-mail Ray and he will advise you on his products that would meet your needs. I have two of his holsters and a mag carrier. Best stuff I own for carrying a gun.
In my opinion you just can't have too many 'centennial' style revolvers. I have four, a 'magnum' steel 640, a .38 special 640, and airlite in .38 special and an air weight in .38 special (model 442) that can use moon clips. Each has a purpose, they are all without integral locks, and I don't...
I acquired this Model 625 of 1989 in 1996. it started out as with a five inch barrel and I wanted a four inch. I sent ot to SDM an had them reduce the length to four inces and install the Millet rear sights and fiber optic front sights.
I found one a few years ago at a gun show for $395.00 which I thought was under-valued. I took it home. I would guess that they are now in the $450 to $550 range. I have a pre-lock 640 in .357Mag also.
I wouldn't part with either.
Are you looking for one or do you have a line on one?
I paid $465 for mine, kind of got carried away with a Gunbroker auction a while back. I cleaned the scratches up a little, but I didn't get carried away. It is all steel with forged parts and shoots very straight.
I saw two 3" 65s at the gun show in Pittsburgh last weekend. Both were well...
