I've held off for a while. I don't agree with the NRA on all issues. I also feel they have let gun owners down in the past. However, they're the biggest and loudest dog in the fight. I haven't heard any mention of the other pro gun groups in the media, so I figured my money would be best spent on the NRA.

After all of my back and forth I feel I made the right decision. Time to reward myself with some home brewed loose leaf tea! :D

Welcome aboard. I'm sure we can all find something about the NRA that we don't agree with, but like you said, they are the biggest and loudest dog in the fight.

Now go sign up a friend.

Thanks for joining. I had concerns too but came to the same conclusion. We have to fight like never before.

I didn't want to advertise on my own truck so I put the sticker on a rental boat last weekend. ;)

Like the old cowboy said when someone told him the faro game was crooked, "Yeah I know it, but it is the only game in town." NRA isn't crooked, but it really is the only game in town (on a national level). I joined recently and I get a lot of email from them and offers to buy this or that. Still I want the legislative alerts and their clout is respected on both sides of the aisle in Washington, DC.

I couldn't agree more! We all need to step up and be heard, demand to not allow these folks to diminish our civil rights.

We are law abiding citizens, and should not be subjected to arbitrary and capricious laws that will not stop the horrible violence propagated by a criminal minority (PC police; I'm not talking color, but a minority of our population that are violent criminals...), and mentally I'll people.

We all deserve our 2A rights to be un-infringed, same as our other civil rights. The NRA is THE group fighting for 2A. I also disagree with some things with them, but remember, united we stand, divided we fall. The other side knows this, and they are well organized to take away your rights. We need to be as well organized, disciplined in our message, and demand to be heard.

Rant over, peace to all. Great job OP, now spread the word!

Thank you for helping to support the NRA. I agree with what you say and I also think that is past time for us all to put aside out differences and put our money and support into this organization. What difference does a few dollars or an obnoxious pushy solicitor make if we loose out 2A rights.

I see a member stating he/she's a "Life Member" in the sig line....why not display the icon, like in "show your colors"?;)

Thanks for joining us in the fight to keep our 2nd amendment rights.......now if we can convince others to get off the fence and help out.

There is strength in numbers & that is what gets the politicians attention. :)

Don

Do what the man says................

Join, Support, Contribute the NRA!!

i would be curious as to the number of new members that have joined since dec.also those that have upgraded their memberships
congrats on joining the fight!

Congrats. I joined NRA right after Clinton was elected even though I was still to young to purchase handgun. We are being divided (by ourselves) into groups that anti gun forces use to make owners weaker than we should be.

Now that wasn't so bad was it? I don't agree with everything they do either but just think where we would be without them. Like they say "The NRA is the biggest civil rights group in the world" Don

I (finally) joined the NRA a couple months ago.
Well, I emailed a dealer about a gun yesterday, and got no reply. I decided to spend my money elsewhere....and upgraded to Life Member this morning!
Oh, and came across a thousand rounds of .22LR to boot...
I think I made a better deal, at least with the NRA!

We, who cherish our freedom to own firearms thank you for joining the fight. We need everyone that we can get.
