Yes it’s an improvement from what you got back from S&W. You will have to push the Mag release in when inserting a new mag as their new machined part requires it. You won’t be disappointed at all with this upgrade. I’m going to drop mine off when they are open again.

The crew at Galloway will fix your issue. They have the modified part you need. I have a family member who had the same issue and have started to see issues with my BG as well. Galloway is closed until further notice with the current virus situation. Send them and email and they will work out...
