I just picked up a new to me 65-2 C.P.D. service revolver. It looks to be in really good shape. Can anyone tell me what the numbers mean and when. It was manufactured
I thing the serial number is 1D79264
Mod 65-2
Number on inside of crane 42497
It’s pinned and recessed And stamped C.PD...
Thank you for the reply, however I am looking for the tools to complete my display case. I need to know how long the cleaning rod should be? Can I use a rod for a 6in barrel vs 6.5?

I am in search for the cleaning tools for my 29-2. I looks like I will have to piece this together. How long should the cleaning rod be? Are then any differences that I should know of from different calibers? What about sight adjustment tool, are they all the same?
Thanks
Angelo

I am trying to put together everything my 1978 29-2 came with. Can any one tell me what paper work came with my model 29, Owners manual, warranty card, ect.
I have found a complete set on ebay but I don't know if its for the right year.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
Angelo
I did just buy it, I am familiar with the the model 29 however I did not want my desire for a pinned & recessed revolver to make me over pay for this revolver.
There is some blue wear around the muzzle and on the end of the cylinder.
I wanted your opinion of what it is worth and the year...
let me try this again.
I think they are right this time
I paid $800 for it + the transfer.
What's are your thought on the gun & the price.
Thanks

I just picked up my new 29-2, 6.5 inch, blued beauty. Can anyone tell me the date of birth? Serial number is N480841. Any guess on value?

Any help would be great thanks.

I've had this revolver for 10 + years, I was in my local gun store a few years back and I showed it to a local. He said it was a pretty rare smith I shouldn't shot it.
What do I have?

Several years ago I received a 6in 629-1 as a gift from my father. It has sat in my safe now for years. Looking for a little info on it.
What do the numbers mean.
Serial #AJK6656
There are numbers on the yoke E18 then below 12191. Can any one tell me the age of my revolver?
Thanks
Angelo
