I have both and the BG2.0 is a tiny amount longer and taller, but thinner. It certainly is much easier to grip, shoot and control. I have no problem pocket carrying either. The LCP Max will be gone shortly, never to be missed.
After purchasing and shooting the BG2.0, there's no comparison between the two. The LCP Max was hard to control because of the high bore axis and crappy trigger. I can easily hit an 8" gong at 25 yards with the BG2.0 (different sights installed). I sold the LCP Max, knowing I'd never use it again.
The Sig 365 did this when first introduced and some had the MIM striker break where it contacts the shell and aftermarket ones flooded the market. They eventually changed the shape of the tip to an angled one to eliminate striker drag. I have one of the older ones and so far it never skips a beat.
