I also have a model 18 with a swapped 6" barrel. Mine is a 18-2. Very accurate gun.

I don't have anything new to add but I do have a model 18 with a 6" barrel. It was re-barrelled by a previous owner but looks great and shoots just as good.

Excellent info. My guess is the barrel was changed by a pretty good gunsmith. I can't wait to shoot it to see if it shoots as good as it looks.
