    The V7 is above the serial no. on the frame when you open the cylinder. There is no K prefix anywhere. Could it be an outdoorsman? Thanks.

    I have what I thought was a K-17 but now thinking it is a pre 17. It has 5 screws, pinned barrel, and the serial no. is 544XX. It has a marking of V7. Can anyone help?
