Help with Model 629 Age

I bought a model 629 with the serial no. N7800xx and can't find the age of it. Can anyone help? Thanks

Sure can. It was made in 1980, which makes it a pinned and recessed one. (That's good).
What's the barrel length?

6 inch. It has grips ordered from S&W so I was told.
